Redmond Bentonite Clay (20 oz.)
Redmond Clay is a pure, bentonite clay (also known as montmorillonite clay) that we mine ourselves, not too far from our salt mine near Redmond, Utah. Deposited many years ago as the ash of now-inactive volcanoes, it’s unique in that it contains both calcium and sodium (with twice as much calcium as sodium). It also includes a blend of natural, beneficial trace minerals. We gather it from the earth, crush it into powder, and put it in a jar or bucket without any additives, chemicals, preservatives, or other fillers.
You can use this ready-to-mix powder in your mud masks or other home recipes that call for bentonite clay. Our simple recipe for a facial mask is one part Redmond Clay to two parts water. Mix into a smooth, creamy paste, adding water as needed. You may have noticed we recently moved to a new 20-ounce jar. We’re excited about the change because these new jars are more durable, easier to use, and less prone to leaks.
It is the only salt I will use anymore. The flavor is so good, much better than any other salt I have used. I will be a life long customer, never going back.
We love you, Donna! Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Good Stuff! I have had oily skin my whole life. This clay mask product really takes the oil out of my pores like nothing else ever has, and it does not dry me out.
That's amazing, Rob! We're huge fans of bentonite clay, too. There are so many benefits—it can clarify your skin, absorb excess oil, reduce pores, remove impurities, tone, and deep clean your skin for a beautiful, clear complexion. What's not to love? Thank you for sharing your experience, Rob. We're so glad you've seen a difference!
I bought this to have as a long term prepping item…….… was concerned about the best by date and called the company…..doesn’t go bad in the jar….just if you make a mixture with it, watch how long you keep it…..
Yes! Most of our salt and ready-to-mix clay products won't expire. That's because we believe nature knows best, which means we don't add additional chemicals or preservatives. We leave our products the way we found them, straight out of the ground, which means they've already been around for a long, long, time! That makes our salt and clay ideal for long-term storage. Thanks for sharing, Kathleen!
well i bought the clay for my daughter who has a weak immune system, which causes bad outbreaks of exema. i shared 1/2 w her. of both the salt and the clay, so we can both try them out, we found you thru Doug and Stacy homesteaders.
We can't wait to see what you both think, Elaine! Thanks for sharing Redmond clay with your family.
I like it. I just got it and only used it one time so far. So not much to say yet.
We can't wait to see what you think, Nancy!
