Re-lyte Immunity Gummies

We love gummies! Whether in the form of worms, bears, smiles, sharks, fruit, or even insects, gummies are a snack that’s fun to eat and play with. But if you’ve ever read the ingredients on your, or your kids’, favorite gummies, you’ve probably noticed that most of those brightly colored snacks or “vitamins” have some form of corn syrup or sugar as a primary ingredient, served with a side of artificial colors, and sometimes sprinkled with sugar on top.

The good news is that it’s relatively easy to make your own gummies with ingredients you trust. You can even add vitamins and electrolytes to transform this juicy treat into a health-boosting super snack.

Here’s our favorite homemade gummy recipe, complete with a scoop of Re-Lyte Immunity. The number of gummies it will make depends on the size of your molds. Feel free to double, triple, or quadruple the batch to make more.

Redmond Re-Lyte Immunity

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup 100% juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin (about two 10-gram packets; if you prefer plant-based, use 2 tablespoons agar agar powder)
  • 1/2 to 1 scoop or stick pack of Re-Lyte Immunity (Pineapple Orange or Blackberry—mix and match flavors!) or other Re-Lyte Variety (optional)
  • A squeeze of lemon (optional)

Instructions:

Combine the juice, water, and optional squeeze of lemon into a saucepan. Bring them to a simmer. Stirring constantly, add the gelatin or agar agar and Re-Lyte Immunity. Keep stirring briskly until smooth.

Use a dropper to put the liquid into silicon molds (we used these; but there are lots of other options, including some that make larger gummies).

Refrigerate for 20-25 minutes. Pop them out and enjoy!

Storage: You can keep them in the mold for 1-2 hours, but after that you should store them in a sealed container in a cool, dry place.

These look great! Are they kid friendly/safe?

Redmond Life replied:
Hi Blair, thanks for your question. How many electrolytes kids need will depend on a lot of factors, including their age, activity level, and climate. You can read more about Re-Lyte Immunity and kids on our website: https://kb.redmond.life/can-i-give-re-lyte-immunity-to-my-kids.

Another thing to keep in mind is the amount of Re-Lyte in each gummy. The concentration of electrolytes will vary widely depending on how they are prepared and the size of the gummy. Keep all these factors in mind when deciding what is right for your kiddoes!

Jennifer

Good question! Our flavored Re-Lyte does contain natural flavors.

What can I use instead of juice? We don’t do sugar in my house, water instead?

Hi Sassy!

You can use water, you can also use a sugar free juice if you wanted. Whatever works best for you:)
