Sweet & Salty Protein Balls
Craving a tasty, nutritious snack? These protein balls are a perfect blend of sweet and salty. Made with simple ingredients like peanut butter, oats, and raw honey, they offer a good bit of protein and plenty of flavor. Whether you're on the go or need a tasty pick-me-up, these protein balls are perfect for keeping you fueled and satisfied.
Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 cups all-natural peanut butter (runny peanut butter works best)
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
- 3 Tbsp. raw honey
- 2 tsp. chia seeds
- 2 tsp. hemp seeds
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. Real Salt Kosher
- Additional Real Salt Kosher for sprinkling
Instructions:
1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined.

2. Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, roll the dough into bite-sized balls.

3. Top each protein ball with a sprinkle of kosher salt to taste.

4. Put the balls in an airtight container and chill for 30-60 minutes.

Try these fun flavor variations:
- Almond Butter and Strawberry: Substitute almond butter for peanut butter and strawberry protein powder for vanilla. Omit the chocolate chips and cinnamon for a fruity twist.
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup: Use chocolate protein powder instead of vanilla for a richer, chocolatey flavor.
Enjoy these protein balls for up to one week if stored in the fridge, or freeze them for up to three months.

What do you recommend in the place of the hemp seeds?

Hi there, thanks for your great question! If you’d like to skip the hemp seeds, you can try swapping them with ground flaxseeds, extra chia seeds, or even finely chopped nuts for a similar texture and nutritional boost. Let us know what you end up using. We’d love to hear how it turns out!
I have allergies to wheat and oats. Can you come up with some recipes without those two ingredients?
