Salted Honey Caramel Popcorn
This sweet and salty popcorn is coated in a buttery honey caramel with just the right touch of Real Salt. It’s crunchy, golden, and totally addicting!
Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
-
1/4 cup honey (Try Redmond Real Raw Honey if you live in Utah.)
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
1/4 cup butter
-
2 tsp. Real Salt Popcorn Salt
-
1/2 tsp. baking soda
-
1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 225°F.
-
Pop kernels using an air popper or stovetop method with avocado oil, then place popcorn in a large mixing bowl.
-
In a medium pot, combine honey, brown sugar, and butter.
-
Simmer over very low heat for 5–10 minutes, stirring often, until large bubbles form.
-
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, 1 tsp. Real Salt Popcorn Salt, and baking soda. (The mixture will foam up.)
-
Pour caramel over popcorn and use two wooden spoons to toss until coated.
-
Spread popcorn on two parchment-lined baking sheets and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tsp. salt.
-
Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to dry and crisp the caramel.
